We have developed a self paced, introductory module that is the perfect place to start your Player Care journey at a low price point. This is a 3 hour interactive class that you can sign up and complete at a time that works for you.
You will join a cohort of up to 40 students who will be all on the same journey as you - you will be able to engage and discuss with each other as well as the course instructors as you navigate your first steps into Player Care. We will run the course as we fill it up - but as it’s fully flexible learning, you’ll be able to fit in within your schedule.

MAIN TUTOR
Founder & Managing Director of The Player Care Group. Currently consulting with both Brentford FC & Newcastle United. Former Head of Player Care at Brentford FC & West Ham United FC and 1st Team Player Liaison at Southampton FC, as well as Team Operations Manager at Indy Eleven (USA).
Hugo will be providing the knowledge and insight into Player Care within the first team in professional clubs.
SUE PARRIS
EXPERT TUTORS
Sue Parris is a former Head of Education, Welfare and Player Care at Brighton & Hove Albion FC. Her remit included Academy boys and men 11s-23s, the Women's First Team and the girl's RTC. During her time there, Sue introduced an exemplar education and support programme and developed a mental health strategy supporting players and staff.
Previously to this, Sue worked within education for 20 years as a qualified teacher, head of faculty and is also a mental health first aid trainer. She now runs her own business, Simply Human, working with clubs, individual players and a football agency providing mental and emotional support and development.
Dr. MICHELE Di MASCIO
EXPERT TUTORS
Originally working in education at Sunderland College, Michele earned his PhD in Sport Physiology before transitioning full time to Sunderland AFC, before moving to Manchester City where he worked in their Academy.
Michele provides insight into the world of Academy Player Care from his experience where he was Head of Player Care at Sunderland AFC’s Category 1 Academy.

This module isn’t designed to be exhaustive - it’s designed to give you your first step into Player Care education and see if it’s still of interest to you. This module makes up the first of 7 modules of the “Certificate in Player Care” and can be bought as a standalone module or as part of the full certificate.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The course is delivered through Cahoot Learning, a specialised learning site that hosts the course. Once you make a purchase, you will be sent details from Cahoot on how to log in.

This module is self paced - you will have a week to complete it but you can log in at any time, within any time zone to work through the material. Some people will do it all in one go, some will do it in bitesized chunks - it's up you.

Yes, you will recieve a certificate of completion once you complete the module.

Cahoot's platform allows you to start a discussion or ask questions - our tutors will be online reading, responding and engaging both to your answers but also your submitted work.
