The course will be hosted at the New Road Hotel, near Whitechapel. Included in the price is all the live sessions, coffee & snacks throughout, as well as a full lunch each day. Accommodation can be sourced at a discounted rate through the hotel but is not guaranteed - though there are plenty of hotels close by as well as the Elizabeth Line tube stop.
Meet The Tutors
HUGO SCHECKTER - FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
With Player Care experience from the highest levels of professional football, Hugo is adept at transforming challenging situations into thriving environments. He founded The Player Care Group in 2020 and is now one of the world’s leading authorities within Player Care, having helped over half of Premier League clubs with their provision since launching TPCG.
Hugo has served in senior Player Care roles at Southampton FC, West Ham United FC and, most recently, Brentford FC. He holds a Business and Sport Administration degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., is a qualified football coach and referee, and is the current manager of the second XI at Stonewall FC.
SUE PARRIS - HEAD OF WELFARE
Sue was Head of Player Care, Education and Welfare at Brighton & Hove Albion’s Academy, bringing the club into compliance for the newly introduced EPPP and leading the department from transition to Category 1 status. Focusing on the Welfare of players, Sue brings a wealth of experience and runs her own business, Simply Human. Her teaching focuses on mental health and wellbeing within Player Care.
DR MICHELE DI MASCIO - HEAD OF PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Holding a PhD in sport physiology, Dr Michele was previously Head of Player Care at AFC Sunderland’s Category 1 Academy, where he was for 7 years. His experience and education, including a spell at Manchester City, enables him to offer a fresh perspective from the only Academy at the Cat 1 level outside the top 2 divisions. He currently works full time in education and is passionate about personal development & player transitions within Player Care.
DAN HARRIS - LEADERSHIP CONSULTANT
Dan brings with him 25 years of experience in Professional Football having worked domestically and internationally in a variety of coaching, sports science & leadership roles with clubs including Coventry City, West Bromwich Albion, Birmingham City and Celtic.
Most recently Academy Manager at Oxford United where he spent almost five years, Dan will be leading on our Self Development session and provides a range of experiences from the technical side of the game as well as his history of Personal Development both on and off the pitch.

We will always do our best to provide you with a recording of any missed session, up to a maximum of two sessions. However, it is highly recommended you attend each session live to benefit from the interactive nature of the course.

If you cancel up to a month before the first session, we will issue a full refund. If you cancel less than a month before, we will only refund you if we can fill your place. Once sessions have started, no refunds will be issued.

No. We want you to focus on the live sessions, where our tutors will answer any questions you may have. Between each session, there will be a summary of learning as well as some items to consider for next time. But there’s no written homework due.
