OUR STAFF TEAM

Hugo Scheckter - founder & managing director

With Player Care experience from the highest levels of professional football, Hugo is adept at transforming challenging situations into thriving environments. He founded The Player Care Group in 2020 and is now one of the world’s leading authorities within Player Care, having helped over half of Premier League clubs with their provision since launching TPCG.

Hugo has served in senior Player Care roles at Southampton FC, West Ham United FC and, most recently, Brentford FC as well as consulting with elite clubs worldwide. He holds a Business and Sport Administration degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., is a qualified football coach, is on the Board of Trustees at London based charity Football Beyond Borders and is on the management committee at non-league side Stonewall FC.

Tim Collins - commercial Director

Tim has over 25 years of sports marketing and partnership experience working for a number of high profile brands looking to use sport as a major part of their consumer and internal marketing strategies. More recently Tim has led several companies at a senior level helping to grow the business, create business development strategies, company culture and team management.

Tim joins The Player Care Group from United Entertainment Group where as Managing Director UK, he started the EMEA division of the company creating sports and entertainment campaigns for a range of clients and building a pipeline of new business. Prior to joining UEG, Tim was Managing Director of the global sports marketing agency Octagon where he was responsible for building the UK business and overseeing a number of high profile clients such as AIG, Budweiser, Mars and Stella Artois.

Tim has spent a large part of his career working in football, either for major sponsors of the game or for rights holders looking to maximise their assets and develop commercial strategy. As Commercial Director at The Player Care Group Tim is responsible for helping to develop new business strategies and identifying new revenue streams to help grow the business.

Jamie Khan - Alumni & operations MAnager

Jamie, a participant in Cohort 10 of the ‘Certificate in Player Care’ course, is currently a Master of Laws student based in Exeter. Since 2020, he has been working in various sectors of the sports field alongside his undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Having co-authored ‘How to Become a Football Agent’, he has also written over 100 blogs in the sports field as well as organising sports-focused educational events and courses.

Naomi Haughan - PA/Administration

Naomi has been an Executive Assistant for nearly 20 years. She’s worked in large multinational banks as an EA to Board Level Executives in London and more recently she’s worked as a PA and a Business Manager in smaller, local family run businesses until and she now supports The Player Care Group part time.

Naomi is an ‘organiser’ – she loves helping people to focus on their key priorities by being a truly right-hand PA and a gatekeeper. Her key skills are inbox and diary management, meeting logistics, daily life admin and travel booking. She currently lives in Liverpool with her husband and young son. Her passion is running and yes, she is one of those crazy people you see running with a head torch in the rain!
